What is Diffusion?
Diffusion is the dispersing of essential oils as a fine vapour throughout the air so they can be absorbed gently into the body through the respiratory system. The aroma can prompt the nervous system to transmit signals to the limbic system in the brain – the same part of the brain that houses emotion and memory. Many positive effects are received for the body, mind and mood throughout this process and you can completely change the atmosphere of your environment with a simple diffusion.
Many therapeutic benefits can be gained when diffused essential oil molecules are inhaled. How Long to Diffuse?
Many trained aromatherapists suggest diffusing for 30 minutes at a time.

This is because our body, especially our nervous system, habituates after this length of time.
